Delta State Police have arrested a 19-year-old housemaid, identified as Rosemary, for allegedly stealing foreign currencies and other personal items from the home of a State Commissioner. According to Police Spokesperson SP Bright Edafe, the suspect, who is from Plateau State, had worked for the commissioner and his wife for over a year. In a confession, Rosemary stated that the incident stemmed from a grievance last holiday season. She claimed the commissioner had instructed his wife to give her gifts to take home to her family, but the wife later became angry and sent her away empty-handed. Upon returning to work, Rosemary allegedly formulated a plan. When the couple traveled, she entered their bedroom and packed numerous items, including foreign currency and food.
