The minister confirmed on his official social media account that the aircraft and personnel have safely arrived at an Air Force base in Accra, Ghana. He credited the positive outcome to effective diplomacy and regional cooperation.

The aircraft and its crew were intercepted and held by authorities in Burkina Faso, an incident that had attracted significant public attention and concern over potential regional tensions.
