Tuition Fees: LASU Students Storm BRT Park, Vow To Continue Protest

 


Protesting students of LASU this afternoon stormed the BRT bus park at Igando, along LASU-Isheri Road, grouning all activities at the park an leaving many commuters stranded, in continuation of their protest against the what they describe as the 'wicked antics' of the government to frustrate the students of LASU.

The situation, which may have turned very ugly when the students highjacked one of the buses at the park, was later calmed with the intervention of people at the bus park, who pleaded with the students to take things easy and channel their grievances appropriately.

Meanwhile, the president of the Students' Union, comrade Nurudeen Yusuf, had earlier today vowed that the protest across the state will go on, until the governmnet of Babatunde Fashola, SAN, reduces the amount.

The students had last month submitted a proposal of N46,500 for returning student and N65,500 for fresh students as their proposed tuition fees, against the current charge of N197,000 and N350,000 respectively for medical students.
