Kidnap: Speaker Vows Not To Pay Ransom

 


The Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr  Kombowei Benson, whose 90-year-old mother-in-law was kidnapped a few days ago, has vowed that he would not succumb to the demands of the kidnappers to pay ransom to free the aged woman.

Even though there has been no word yet from the kidnappers, the Speaker said the family would not consider the option of paying ransom and urged the kidnappers to free the old woman unconditionally.
