The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, has revealed
that no fewer than 750 churches have burnt down by Boko Haram terrorist so far,
even as it called on the Federal Government to consider paying monetary
compensation to the families of those who lost their lives in the related
attacks.
“We have lost at least 750 churches in the North to attacks by
terrorists,” the PFN National President, Rev. felix Omobude stated.
He called on the government to grant swift approval, so that
the burnt churches could be rebuilt without delay.
“Our worry of late is that churches that are making efforts
to rebuild are facing difficulties,” said Omobude, also calling on the
authorities to step up securities around troubled spots in the North.
