I guess not even award-winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie can win all the time, as she just lost out to Irish writer Eimear McBride in the Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction competition, which also comes with a cash award of $50, 000.
Chimamanda was the only African to make the short list for the award. She is not new to the award, however, having previously won it in 2007for her book, Half of a Yellow Sun.
