Kefee, according to confirmed sources, collapsed while aboard a Chicago-bound flight in the US, an incident which forced the plane to make an emergency landing in Los Angeles so she could receive medical attention. The husband of the singer, Teddy Don Momoh, has currently flown to the US to be with his ailing wife, whose condition is believed to be critical as she has been placed under life support.

Teddy called on friends, well-wishers and Nigerians in general to join him in prayers for the life of his wife.

"We just need prayers now; she (Kefee) just needs our prayers now because there is nothing God cannot do," said Teddy via a statement from his publicist. "Prayer is the key. God is still the same yesterday, today and forever, He has done it before and he will do it again.’’
