It seems all is set for a legal battle between the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the breakaway faction of the party, led by Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, as the chairman of the PDP has instituted a court case against some of the
rival National Executive officials of the faction
at an Abuja High Court.
In Tukur’s suit instituted at the Abuja High Court, the applicants ask the court to jail Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the other members of the faction for contempt.
Speaking on the matter, counsel to Tukur, Ajibola Oluyede, also stated that a similar lawsuit had also been filed by the PDP before a Lagos High Court, sitting in Ikeja, asking it to throw out the suit brought before it by the faction leaders for lack of jurisdiction.
So the 'die is cast'. Let's see how this will all play out...
