Marriage Annulment: Ex Ngerian Minister To Return N120 Bride Price

A court in Delta state has annulled the marriage of Nigeria’s former Minister of Science and Technology, Grace Ekpiwhre and businessman/politician, Peter Ekpiwhre.

According to reports, a customary court sitting in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government area, yesterday formally dissolved the marriage, at the prompting of the former minister.

The court, in granting her request to annul the marriage, therefore asked her family to refund the court’s registry sum of N120 paid as bride price by her husband in 1985.

The amount was refunded back to the court.
